About the China Finance Institute
Sharing, Learning and Winning Together
The China Finance Institute alliance is the newest best practices sharing program of Schiff Consulting Group, Ltd. Its membership is composed of finance leaders of large multinational companies with significant operations in the People’s Republic of China. Our current membership includes some of the world’s most recognized companies including Cargill, Carrier, The Coca-Cola Company, Corning, Eaton, Federal-Mogul, FMC, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, and Johnson & Johnson.
The CFI alliance provides a candid, secure and consistent framework for finance leaders to share common issues, problems and solutions. The CFI membership meets semi-annually for executive exchange roundtable sessions and for staff workshops in January and July. These meetings are hosted by our members at their regional headquarters facilities. We also conduct regular conference calls on subjects including, but not limited to, economic outlook in the PRC, acquiring and developing finance and accounting staff, transaction processing centers, credit and collection, and internal control practices in the PRC.
The CFI alliance membership is composed of finance leaders based in the PRC who serve large multinational companies.
New CFI members join for a minimum of 2 years. A unanimous vote of existing members is required for membership.
Joe Fitter, Finance Director/Controller for Intel China, serves as the volunteer chairperson of the CFI alliance.
The most recent CFI alliance program was hosted by Intel in Shanghai on January 11-12, 2011. The program was very well received by program participants. Here is a sampling of CFI alliance staff workshop feedback:
